The Biggest Misconception About Writing A Book…

14 Feb, 2018 Book Writing

Do you know what it is?

I hear it ALL the time. It’s also the number one thing holding people back from getting their story out for the world.

The biggest misconception about writing a book is that only “great” writers can do it.

Do you think when I wrote my first book I was a “great” writer? Of course not!

In fact, when I wrote my first book I wrote it just for myself, my family and my friends. I had NO intention of sharing it with anyone.

I was scared of how others would judge my writing. I was scared of rejection or that someone would think I was a bad writer. I poured my heart and soul into this piece of work; what if nobody liked it?

I always thought writing a book was something only professional writers could do. I thought maybe I needed a degree in writing or a God-given gift to write.

You Too Can Write a Book!

Over the years (and several books later), I’ve learned that ANYONE can write a book.

Writing a book is just like a recipe; all you have to do is follow the steps.

Have you ever made chocolate chip cookies? Did you go to culinary school or did you just use a recipe? Sure, a trained chef or baker can probably make amazing cookies, but so can any “regular” person who follows a recipe.

The same goes for writing your book! Just follow the steps.

I Have the Steps, You Take the Leap

“Book Bound Workshop” is my most famous (and favorite!) seminars that I give over the course of a 3-day live event. At “Book Bound” participants learn how to get their books OUT of their head and ON TO paper, just by following simple step-by-step instructions.

Now, as much as I wish EVERYONE could come to “Book Bound”, I understand our busy careers and families sometimes don’t allow for the time off.

That’s why I’ve created “Book Bound Online!” With 14 online modules, soon-to-be authors learn how to write, publish and market their books, so they can share their story with the world and leave a legacy.

The best part is, once you sign up for “Book Bound Online”, you’ll gain LIFETIME ACCESS, so you can look back at any of the courses anytime, anywhere.

Finally, you can become an author on your own time.

Do You Have What It Takes?

To become a published author, you need:

  • Passion to share your story with the people who need it most. Imagine if you had the solution to someone’s problem or a similar experience to help them through a difficult time, but they never heard it because you didn’t write your story.

  • Purpose; you know why you’re on this Earth and you know you want to make a difference in people’s lives. Writing a book will leave a legacy long after you’re gone.

  • Drive and commitment to achieve your goals and persevere even when the going gets tough. I won’t lie to you — writing a book is hard work! But it is one of the most rewarding experiences you’ll ever have.
